Abstract:
In order to ensure the female astronauts' health and safety, the space radiation risk and propound the appropriate methods for space radiation protection should be evaluate. In this paper,Chinese female astronauts model (CFAM) was established, which was adjusted according to the bodily form of Chinese female astronauts, and organ doses were calculated using Monte Carlo methods. The incident particles were proton, carbon ion and iron ion; the shielding conditions were 0 g/cm<sup<2</sup< and 5 g/cm<sup<2</sup< aluminum. Some space radiation protection requirements for female astronauts in different missions were analyzed based on these data. The results show that for medium-term or long-term spaceflight missions, especially manned lunar-landing missions and deep-space explorations, some specialized local protection methods should be used for female astronauts. Furthermore, novel space radiation protection methods, such as active protection technique must be further researched in the future.
