Abstract:
The influences of freeze-thaw cycles on impact compressive properties of ceramsite concrete with large-sized sample were studied. The impact compressive tests were carried out using the horizontal bundled Hopkinson pressure bars apparatus. The experimental results indicate that the dynamic compressive strength decreases with increasing cycles of freezing-thawing and the increases of volume fraction of the ceramsite. The maximum compressive strength increases with increasing strain rate. The variation of the crack and the dynamic elastic modulus of samples with the different numbers of freeze-thaw cycles are observed in the work.
