Abstract:
As a kind of geometric loss caused by the system structure of linear Fresnel reflector, cosine loss has an important affect on the concentration ratio; accordingly a new type of linear Fresnel reflector system was designed, it could decrease cosine loss by shifting its mirror field onto opposite direction with solar. A test system built in Liuzhou, Guangxi Province at a latitude of 24°03' N to validate the feasibility and practice efficiency of theoretic design. The results show that the concentration ratio of the new system has been improved by 9%, comparing with the fixed system, corresponding with the theoretical calculation result. Optical simulation was subsequently developed, and the simulative result will be used to provide guidance for optimizing future system. Analysis results show that the parameters on the basis of the existing system, due to lower receiver height can be further reduced to cosine loss; secondary concentrator, when it receives increasing mirror spacing within the allowed range, can also reduce the loss of field block, continue to improve the system concentrating.
