Abstract:
Aimed at prominent problems existing in explosive detection, based on related theories of solid-state physics and basic principles of nuclear quadrupole resonance, nuclear quadrupole resonance detection technique with intrinsic detection ability has been provided. This technique focuses on the detection of nuclei <sup<14</sup<N that widely exist in explosive molecules, because different molecular structure has different characteristic signals induced by nuclear quadrupole resonance. Some nuclear quadrupole resonance signals from several explosive simulants, such as sodium nitrite, hexamethylenetetramine, urea and thiourea, has been experimentally obtained. The experimental results indicate that this detection technique can intrinsically identify various object substance, that is to say, it is an accurate and effective intrinsic detection technique.
