Abstract:
For shedding light on the properties of range-folding, Doppler-frequency aliasing, and clutter rejection in match filtering of the MIMO radar, the paper was focused on analyzing and optimizing the ambiguity properties of the non-coherent MIMO radar, including the unambiguous delay interval and Doppler interval, the unambiguous area and the sidelobe level in the unambiguous area. As a result, the unambiguous area of the non-coherent MIMO radar in the delay-Doppler plane was optimized to be 1(dimensionless), and the sidelobe level in the unambiguous area was optimized to equal the sidelobe level of the SIMO radar, thus the non-coherent MIMO radar can match the SIMO radar in the performance of range-folding, Doppler-frequency aliasing, and clutter rejection in match filtering. And the simulation of the non-coherent MIMO radar ambiguity function displays an unambiguous area of 1.
