Abstract:
In order to solve the lower gain problem of dielectric microstrip antenna group array, some theories were applied, for example, the electromagnetic wave propagation theory of dielectric, electromagnetism coupling theory of microstrip antenna, dielectric embedded antenna technology and circular polarization technology of microstrip antenna. Some methods were adopted, for instance, putting the antenna array elements in different parts with the same dielectric, feeding the antenna by coaxial line, and putting the feeding point in the diagonal line of driven patch, appending the degeneracy separation element in the driven patch. The low gain problem of dielectric embedded microstrip antenna array was solved by the designed antenna. The results of simulation calculation and practical antenna testing show that the performance of the antenna array can satisfy the needs of Beidou antenna, the simulation gain is 10.45 dB and the testing gain is 9.2 dB, which is close to the gain of 2-element microstrip antenna of the same type.
