Integrated Effectiveness Assessment Methodology for Combat Systems Considering Static and Dynamic Capabilities

  • In order to solve the incomprehensive and incompact problems in the existing effectiveness assessment method of combat system, a comprehensive effectiveness assessment method was proposed for combat system to be able analyze its dynamic and static capabilities. Taking the “OODA” combat ring idea as a base, multi-abilities were carried out with the assessment method, including the categorization of equipments according to function and arranging the static capability attribute of the equipment with function. Representing the directed edges among equipment nodes, characterizing and defining the types of edges, the weight calculation was used based on the information entropy of the directed edges to establish a network model and reflect the dynamic capability of the system. Finally, the static capability and dynamic capability of the system were numerated efficiently, realizing the comprehensive effectiveness assessment of the combat effectiveness of the system. The results of the case study show the effectiveness of the method, combining the dynamic capability and static capability in the comprehensive assessment and analysis.
