Study on Damage Effect of Fragment Penetrating Concrete

  • The Autodyn dynamics software was used to carry out a numerical simulation study on the influencing factors of the end effect of large-size fragments penetrating concrete, and the influence characteristics of factors such as penetration speed, penetration attitude, fragment shape, and fragment material on the end effect of concrete were obtained. The research results show that when penetration speed of fragments increased, penetration depth and the diameter of the penetration hole gradually increased, and the diameter tended to a certain value; when penetration was oblique, the compression-shear coupling effect and boundary effect could cause the size of the penetration hole to increase; when the penetration kinetic energy and the shape of fragments were the same, the comprehensive damage effect of tungsten fragments was better than that of 4340 steel and 45# steel; the cylindrical fragments had the strongest piercing ability, and the square fragments had the strongest penetrating ability.
