Analysis of Penetration of Crack Propagation Using High-Speed 3D Digital Image Method

  • To solve the problem of rock fast controlled splitting in engineering blasting, the technology of linear jet penetration was used. The whole deformation was measured in the splitting process using high-speed 3D DIC in concrete model experiment which provided the relationship of strain concentration and splitting crack propagation. The results show that transverse tensile stress is the main force of splitting crack propagation and variation of strain is easily to make the upper specimen fracture. Linear Jet has a strong guiding role for splitting propagation direction. Specimen is spitted into two and shows a symmetrical splitting morphology. The main strain concentration distribution determines the crack propagation path and tendency. The measured surface strain is below 10<sup<2</sup<. Low strain can reduce the damage degree of specimen and the stress concentration can control the change of maximum principal strain direction in ±15°.
