Test Method of Shockwave Overpressure Based on Dynamic Response of Brittle Films

  • In order to evaluate the power of explosion shock wave, based on the size effect of strength of brittle materials, the response of circular brittle film materials fixed all around with different sizes under the impact loading with selecting paper which is a typical brittle film materials and a self-made fixing device was studied in this paper. Through the experiment research, a variation law of the critical overpressure corresponding the damage of thin film with the diameter of the film was obtained, and the critical overpressure corresponding the damage of three kinds of paper with different diameter was calibrated. According to the experiment results, a calculation formula of the critical overpressure of film damage restricted by fixing device was given, it is a simple and practicable test method to measure the power of explosion field.
