Simulation Research into Dynamic Response of Perforating Gun with Gunshock Loads

  • Blast impact dynamic response of string is one of the main reasons which lead to vibration, deformation, even damage of the system. In order to gain a better understanding of behavior of shockwave loads and dynamic response of string, a finite element simulation model was founded. The numerical simulation was performed using fluid-solid coupling codes and consistency checks. The errors of strain values were suggested to be less than 10% between numerical results and experimental data obtained from ground test. It is found that impact of jet is the most significant in the explosive loading process. The shock damage can be reduced effectively by the constraints for explosion products from perforating charge shell. The effects of the adjacent perforating charges explosion related to the phase and the spacing will be coupled.
