Numerical Simulation of Tandem EFP Forming and Penetrating Concrete Target

Abstract
Aiming at improving damage ability against concrete structure targets and penetration ability of EFP, TrueGrid modeling tools and Autodyn numerical simulation software were used in this paper, firstly the factors of affecting the shaped charge's double-layer liner forming into tandem EFP were studied, then tandem EFP penetrating concrete medium was analyzed by simulation. The simulation results indicate that the separation time of the front EFP and the back EFP can be adjusted by changing the warhead structure of the double-layer liner, so that tandem EFP and single EFP whose front connects to back can be obtained, and the penetration performance of the double-layer liner against to concrete is better than the monolayer liner in the same structure.
