Relationship Between Strip Amplitude and Shape for Shapometer Based on Airflow Excitation and Eddy Current

  • The method based on the airflow excitation and eddy current measurement is the most successful one in the contactless cold-rolled strip flatness measurement. The SI-FLAT shapometer was taken as the studying object to be used on the 2 180 mm tandem cold rolling mills. The transform model between forced vibration amplitude and strip shape of shapometer was firstly analyzed and then the simplified condition of strip vibrating problem, i.e. vibrating problem of Euler girder, was analyzed and the relationship between strip amplitude and stress was studied. Meanwhile, a vibration simulating model was built with the finite element software ANSYS12.0. The influence between different fibers was analyzed under different factors, such as strip shape, width and thickness. Finally, the effect of shapometer was validated in the actual production providing a foundation for the stable industrial production.
