Low Computational Complexity Partial Transmit Sequence Scheme for Peak-to-Average Power Ration Reduction in Long Term Evolution System

  • To reduce the nonlinear distortions caused by the high peak-to-average power ration (PAPR) in SC-FDMA systems as well as reduce the computational complexity of conventional PTS methods, two schemes were proposed: LCC-IP-PTS and iterated LCC-IP-PTS. Simulation results show that the LCC-IP-PTS scheme significantly lower the computational complexity at no loss of PAPR performance of the system. While compared to the first method, the second method reduces by more than half of the computational complexity with only 0.2 dB loss of PAPR performance. Two schemes especially the second one are practical and efficiency which are perfectly applied into SC-FDMA systems and other OFDM communication systems.
