Waveform Design with Stopband and Low Range Sidelobes

  • Working on high frequency(HF), very high frequency(VHF) and ultra high frequency(UHF) these jam band, wideband radar faces some problems such as using restriction of frequency band and narrowband interferences of wireless communication systems in the same frequency band. To this, a new objective function was proposed based on both requirements for the power spectrum density (PSD) and the integrated sidelobe level (ISL) with the constraint of peak-to-average power ratio (PAR). Then, a method was proposed to solve objective function by using iterative loop algorithm based on FFT and subspace decomposition. The numerical examples show that optimized waveform can effectively suppress narrowband interference and has low ISL while increase the spectrum using efficiency in multi-frequency band restriction.
