Abstract
The theory of cultural agency is an integration of multiple ideas of culturology and economics. Researches show that hidden cultural information is always contained in a certain historical tradition, hidden relationships in social networks are always of great influence, and the path-dependence of social cognition comes into being because of the differences between institutional backgrounds. Therefore, to seek a qualified cross-cultural agent is of remarkable comparative advantage in solving the problems of cross-cultural communication and cooperation. It is also a feasible approach to interpret cultural information, clarify social networks, and overcome institutional obstacles. Generations of cross-cultural agents can be cultivated through targeted education for international students, due to the fact that they have multiple cultural experiences.
