The Outline of the Western Legal Anthropology: History, Theory and Implication

The Western legal anthropology germinated more than 200 years ago. Law as a relative cultural phenomenon, law's evolutionary logic, law as a kind of local knowledge, participant observation, social situation, case analysis and extended case analysis are among the typical knowledge forms of its developing process. Many theories and methods of western legal anthropology have important implications for the development of China's law and legal anthropology. This development should pay more attention to China's contexts and practices.
