Contemporary Picture and Inherent Characteristic of the Public Communication of Science and Technology

The contemporary public communication of science and technology(PCST)shows a series of new characteristics,and highlights the fragmentation of PCST practices. In this paper,the author analyses the contemporary picture of PCST and the characteristics of contemporary PCST practices,and puts forward a "six elements model". This paper thinks that all fragmented practices form a PCST system,compared with the national communication system of science and technology,the PCST system is another basic system of science and technology communication.
