Shuntian Yin’s Role in the Culture Communication of the Jintai Academy

In the feudal society with the“official standard”consciousness, the academy in the spreading of culture is inseparable from the support from government officials, especially the attention of the local chief officials. Jin Tai academy existed for nearly 150 years, occupying the important position in the history of education in Beijing area, trained a large number of talents for the society, and promoted the spread of culture communication in Beijing and the surrounding area. This paper investigated the role of Shuntian Yin in Jintai academy culture communication by reading a large number of literature historical documents and stone inscriptions. It found that Shuntian Yin had made important contributions in the founding, repair, fund raising, college dean selection, and academic attention as well as book collection of Jintai Academy, which played a major role in the culture Communication of the Jintai Academy.
