Bibliometric Overview on MS/OR from 2001 to 2010 in China: Based on Database of Web of Science

Based on mainland China scholars' 4 262 papers included by 78 kinds of MS/OR journals in the WOS database from 2001 to 2010,this paper adopt bibliometrics to analyze research situation and hot areas of MS/OR in mainland China quantitatively. The results show that the MS/OR in China's mainland has a rapid development from 2001 to 2010. The papers are still concentrated in a small number of published journals, and only 69 papers have been published in the TOP Journal. The two most productive institutions are the CAS and the Tsinghua University. Among the papers,43.87% have never been cited. Moreover,cooperation rate of the paper in author level is on the rise and there is unchanged in institutional and national levels. Additionally,the most widely studied research topics in china mainland include scheduling, linear matrix inequality;and genetic algorithm.
