Institutional Capacity Building for Space Law Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region

International space cooperation is well underway; such cooperation can be carried at different levels and different fields. Countries in the Asia-Pacific region have always emphasized the importance of space cooperation; however，no regional institution exists at the moment in the field of space law. The proposal of an Asia-Pacific Space Law Center is thus raised to promote the cooperation of space law research and education in the region. The proposed Center should be an independent and neutral academic institution. With no other better platform in place，a space law center under the framework of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization can be the second-best option. Such a center shall promote further development of space law in the Asia-Pacific region.
