Empirical Research of Capital Use Based on Public Companies of Construction Industry

An empirical study is carried out to find out the effectiveness of capital utilization in domestic construction companies through analyzing public companies in construction industry. The research results indicate that currently the effectiveness of capital utilization is not obvious in China’s construction companies. There is no notable co-relationship between overall corporation performance and capital volume. Economies of scale don’t exist in construction industry. The results also reflect that the effectiveness of capital utilization is not high in China’s construction industry，and consequently capital and resource management efficiency calls for improvement.
