On the theoretical fundament of Animal Rights

The answer to the question “could animal have rights” is decided by our understanding of the concept “right” itself: the right is an ability of subjective liberal choice or an ability of life's living. The different understandings of the right are based on the historical changes of the society. When the ecological crisis has threatened human societies and the whole natural ecological system, the legal rights should be vested to the animals. This is not an unimaginable illusion but a huge development of the earth civilization.
