The Adjustment of the Structure of Higher Education for the Economic Development of Beijing

The relationship between higher education and economy development is well concerned and disputed. Through the international comparison of the relative researches of higher education and economic development before and after college enrollment expansion in Beijing， the article points out that the total size of Beijing higher education is lower than the international average and has suffered from structural imbalance， based on which the article proposes suggestions for Beijing Higher Education’s development in the aspects of amount， structure and quality.
