Though there are quite a number of studies on the translation of Euclid’s Elements, disagreements on the reason of translation, the process of translation and the time of translation still abound. Researches on the comparisons and communications between Chinese and Western mathematics in the process of the translation of this book are still not sufficient. This is the content of the present paper.
