The Status Quo of Leisure Life in Rural Areas and Corresponding Strategies

With concerted efforts being made to construct socialist new rural areas and the more and more important role of leisure in our life today, leisure of residents in rural areas, which has been underdeveloped and overlooked, is crying out for more attention from the government and scholars. Whether leisure in those areas is scientifically arranged or not will produce great effects on stability and civilization of those areas, but the status quo in those areas is that views of leisure are backward, tastes of leisure are not refined, and channels of leisure lacks severely. Therefore, in rural areas, it is necessary to cultivate healthy views of leisure, improve tastes of leisure through leisure education, and expand channels of leisure by adding to residents'income, through improving the level of economic support and developing leisure resources in those areas.
