Ouyang Xiu's Influence on Korean Literature

Ouyang Xiu's works was spread to Korea no later than the mid-12th century, and produced a major impact. Scholars read, imitated and emulated his works eagerly. Korean scholars absorbed Ouyang Xiu's literary theory from the form and content. The critics sprang up with various forms of assessments about the situation, achievement and some works. Most assessments were praises. In addition, the character and life attitude of Ouyang Xiu also produced some positive impact on Korean literati.
