On the Course Setting for Industrial Design

This paper aims to investigate the perplexity of the students majoring in industrial design. It analyzes the knowledge structure of industrial design and the blind spots in its course setting, on the basis of which the paper proposes that we should add the course of mathematics, mechanics, materials, technology, market and management courses in order to develop the students' ability of logical thinking, calculation, structural modeling, and practical abilities.
