Analysis of "Loneliness"and "Vacuity"in One Man's Fine Weather

Akutagawa Prize,the sublime honor of Japanese literature, has been encouraging exellent young writers since its establishment in 1935.Aoyama' HitoK Hiyori won the 136th Akntagawa Prize, in March，2007. The novel gives a full display of the prevalent mental predicament of the "Freeters"of the modern society,namely, their pervasive loneliness and vacuity after losing ideals. This paper aims at an interpretation of the work from this perspective.
