The Effects of the Platform Matching Technique upon Pricing of Two-sided Markets

This paper studies the effects of platform matching technique upon three kinds of pricing modes under the monopoly platform and competing platforms in two-sided markets. Through the study, the paper gets the optimal pricing outcomes of platforms. Based on analysis, the paper indicates that in two-sided markets under whether monopoly platform or competing platforms, distinct charging modes are applied to meet demands of different groups of customers, which makes no difference by nature in platform profit making.
