The "Obviation of the Relatives" System was an important code of Chinese traditional laws. It is the blended code of the "rule of li (respectfulness)" and the Confucian culture. Although at present, many countries have established the "Allowrance or Obviation of the Relatives" System, China has remained a striking lacuna in the field of criminal law. Thus it is necessary to establish such a complete law system in China.
