Discussion on China's Termination of Relationship with the Soviet Union between 1918 and 1920

After the October Revolution of in the Soviet Union,China was facing up with the problem of how to handle the relationship with both the new government of Soviet Russia and the regime of the Soviet Union.The Peking government,which was controlled by warlord,intended to cancel the relationship with Old Russia,so it made great effort,including stopping paying Boxer Indemnity to Old Russia,ending the treatment towards the diplomatic envoy of Old Russia and taking back the lend-lease of OS.Because of the various countries'intervention,the effort made by Chinese government could not achieve anticipated result,which reflected the big powers controlled warlord government's hesitation and concession in dealing with diplomatic ties.However,it somewhat pushed forward the development of Sino-Soviet Russia relations and laid a solid foundation for it.
