On The Concept of Environmental Liability

There is a difference about the concept of environmental liability between the broad sense theory and the narrow sense theory in China. This article attempts to explicate this concept through the broad sense theory, maintaining that environmental liability is a civil liability that may be caused by the activities of the industry and other artificial activities. People who contribute to environmental pollution or other damages to the environment and therefore endanger people' s life, health, property and environmental interests will bear the civil liability .
