Review of Tradition——A New Perspective on the Legal Culture of Confucianism

Ever since western powers landed on the soil of China in the 19th century, the legal culture of Confucianism has beenexperiencing the impact of western legal culture from many aspects. However, in the past one hundred year or so the legal culture ofConfucianism has not disappeared due to these impacts. A new perspective on the current legal construction and implementationurges a review of the legal culture of Confucianism, and suggests the incorporation of the core values of Confucianism into our legalsystem. A review of the legal culture of Confucianism redefines its nature and corrects our views on relevant issues.
