A Phonetic Analysis of Yongdeng Dialect

Chinese dialects are the raw materials for studying the history of Chinese phonetics. Yongdeng dialect, as a branch of the official language in Lanyin area,has peculiar features with its history of the mixed habitants of the Han and the minorities.This paper,by the distinction of the pronunciation system of the local dialect,discusses the primary phoneme features and the differences between the dialect and mandarin Chinese in pronunciation.
