On Layers and Sorts of Educational Research

Under the ne w situation of educational research continuously dividing and combining, develop ing and deepening, layers and sorts of it and its meaning are discussed and stu died in this article to benefit the educational cause. According to layers, it is divided into three sorts: pure research of educational theory, application re search of educational theory, and theoretical research of educational experienc es; according to research methods, it is divided into comparative and non-compa rative educational research; according to research objects and range, non-compa rative educational research can be further divided into meta-educational, pan- educational and special research, and further sub-divided, providing new fiel ds for educational researchers.
