On Ezra Pound's Principle and Artistry of the Poetry Translation

This paper assesses the Ezra Pound's translation principle, "A translated works is a new one." Through analysis of Pound's principle and artistry of the poetry translation, the artistic principle and thumbprint of poetry translation are clarified. A pressure to deepen one's understanding of his Chinese literature and culture, the background with which his translation theory led to its present day form, is placed on the audience.
