Re-examine Marx’s Concept of “Sociality”

“Sociality ” , as an important theory in Marxist philosophy, is rarely seriously discussed and clarified. Especially in the face of the fracture and various social contradictions of contemporary western capitalism, the concept of sociality, as the basic rules or norms of social operation, has long been suffering “misunderstood” and “prejudiced”. Therefore, reorganizing and reviewing Marx’s concept of sociality is not only out of a need to correct errors in theory, but also out of a need to critically analyze the current social problems and realistic development. For Marx, sociality is not the simplified nature of human social relations, or the external social structure in the sense of sociology, but the concept of “organic connection” between private sphere and public sphere, individual needs and social interests, that is, the “real” social connection between people.
