The Dilemma of Global Climate Governance and Its Solutions—A Perspective from New Concepts of China Diplomacy

Climate change is not only an environmental issue,but also a hotspot and difficulty in contemporary international studies. Global climate governance depends on the participation of sovereign nation-states,especially great powers in international politics. During the evolution of international relations,the Cold War mentality and conflict pattern of thinking should be abandoned; the concepts for China diplomacy in new era,"New Type of International Relations" and "Community of Common Destiny for All Mankind",have emerged. It could be helpful to fully analyze the theoretical dilemma and realistic difficulties from the perspective of the new concepts of China diplomacy. And the possible solutions are as follows:to well cope with the relationship between coopetition and competition,to take advantage of issue linkage and spillover,and to achieve win-win cooperation in asymmetric games.
