Challenges,Opportunities and Requirement of China's Economic and Social Development during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period

The 13th Five-year Plan Period is the decisive stage of completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. However as the international and domestic conditions continue to undergo profound changes, China are faced with unprecedented challenges and opportunities for development as well as requirements unknown before. On one hand, China will be confronted with the uncertainty of world economic growth, dramatic changes of globalization division, global investment and trade rule and the price of energy and resource. On the other hand, China will be faced with continuously falling of domestic economic growth, as well as urgent pressure from industrial transformation, industrial overcapacity, aging society and environment. To achieve the goal set by CPC, China needs to make some changes on development strategy, identify the new areas of economic growth and take new measures during the 13th Five-year Plan Period.
