Marx and Engels' Thoughts of Political Communication

Marxist political communication theory is a component of Marxist thoughts on media. Both Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, the founders of Marxism, laid two prepositions for the political communication of scientific socialism: the communicated theory must be scientific and truly proletarian; the success of communication must be related with the development of social and material conditions. The communicator should possess four qualities: intelligence, thought, style and knowledge. The main purpose of political communication lies in influencing the populace who are yet to be involved in social movement. The communicator in political communication is the most important medium. He or she must have enduring determination of political communication and not be swayed temporary success or failure. Both the purpose and the medium of communication should be just.
