Abstract:
Marx’s exposition of alienated labor begins with product alienation, because this is an economic fact of sensibility, and sensibility must be the foundation of all science. The academic circle generally believes that the transition from product alienation to labor alienation is retroactivity, and the transition between other features of alienated labor is causal inference. However, according to Marx’s dialectical aesthetic, human’s sensible life has duality, that is, objectifying themselves and contemplating themselves in the object. Marx regarded this characteristic as the species-being of human beings, and believed that the dual relationship between human beings and themselves is realized and reflects the relationship between human beings. Therefore, the first two and the third features of alienation are not causally related, but relate as phenomenon and essence of alienated labor, and all these three features can only be realistic when they are related to the alienation of humans. In a word, Marx’s exposition of the four features of alienated labor was based on his dialectical aesthetic, following the logic from alienated phenomenon to its essence and from theoretical speculation to social reality.
