Abstract: Hu Shi as an excellent representative of liberal intellectuals in China,He started to be calm and rational on Soviet Russia,then willingly highly appreciated and afterward he had abandoned the admiration to Soviet Russia.The deep-seated reasons of the changing of Hu Shi's views on Russia included:the main demands of liberalism,the influence of modern democratic politics,the position of experimentalism and inner nationalism. Hu Shi's attitudes were a microcosm of intellectuals'political ideas,They had different cognitions on Russia.
