Abstract:
To actively respond to population ageing in China, smart senior care is crucial. Smart utilization of seniors is an important component of smart senior care. In the new media era, many silver-haired influencers are active on short video platforms, showing the potential of silver-haired influencers as a potential manner to smartly utilize seniors, but in-depth research on silver-haired influencers is relatively scarce. Based on case study, this research selected the top ten silver-haired influencers on Tik Tok and drew on the “needs-affordance-features” framework to perform an exploratory study on the characteristics of silver-haired influencers’ success. On the basis of experts’ brainstorming and the information communication model, from the perspective of behavior and information technology, the research opportunities related to silver-haired influencers were identified and summarized, and the policies affecting short video platforms were analyzed.
